About Marc Cohen
A Tradition of Excellence: Marc is a veteran educator and transformational leader with over 32 years in public education, including 18 years as a middle and high school principal. Known for his data-driven, evidence-based approach, he focuses on empowering staff, growing leadership capacity, and fostering a culture of agency and excellence. His schools have been recognized for academic growth, innovation, and inclusive leadership, and he’s mentored dozens of educators now serving in leadership roles across districts.
Experience Matters: During his time as high school principal, Marc oversaw the transformation of a 1,300-student community school into a thriving, state-of-the-art campus—the largest school building ever constructed in Maryland. The school grew to serve over 2,500 students and 300 staff, earned designation as an International Baccalaureate World School, and launched more than a dozen industry-certified Career and Technical Education programs, preparing students for both college and career success.
